I am a seeker of spiritual truth – a wayfinder – a soldier of the dharma. My path has been varied and is unique to me as yours is to you. Raised in the home of an evangelical pastor, I went my own path in the early 2000’s.
I took my Buddhist vows in 2004. I didn’t remain a Buddhist. I transitioned into a variety of faiths. I followed a group that obeyed the teachings of a dead Hindu Guru. I followed modern religions, mystics, occultists and gurus. All these organizations, societies, mystical groups – they could all be itemized and listed for some strange satisfaction. But truthfully all that is important is my desire for Truth – the Direct Experience of Gnosis, or Emptiness.
Now, many years later I return to the teachings of Buddhism, but this time to the words of Dzogchen. I also bring with me the myriad of compatible thoughts that I picked up along the way. These interlocking ideas have formed the key to the lock of my personal life.
Looking back on all the groups I left, I can see my inner resistance to control systems. When a guru, preacher, mystic, master is asserted as the path, then the path feels off. I truly believe in self-discovery… not the mundane ego, but the Self behind all projections, all egos. It is the true teacher.
What follows on this site are my personal writings and ideas. I do not represent a group, dogma, faith, or organization.
